I'm still working away using up almost all of my snow dyed fabric for my various tulip projects. Today, I did some free motion stitching in green--all the stems on both the large and the small piece as well as the grid sections.
I also decided to add some depth of value to some areas of the tulips using a Shiva Paintstick applied with a stencil brush.
After that, I switched my machine back to regular sewing. Boy, I wish I had room to keep 2 machines set up! Our guild meeting is to-night and I just decided to put together a couple of blocks for the BOM. I don't always do them, but when I was reminded by a friend that this month it is for a charity quilt, I decided to do it.
My Friday lunch group has switched to tomorrow due to Good Friday, so I'll be out most of the day as i swim in the morning every Wednesday.
I'm linking to The Needle and Thread Network for WIP Wednesday. There are lots of quilters and stitchers to check out.

The week is almost half done already. wow I see the tulips are coming up at the post office in town. It is the warmest place in town and the earliest for tulips. Mine come a month later. oh, well. Yours are cleverly done. A stencil brush and shiva sticks. I should be writing down all your tips. Beautiful tulips!
Your tulips are beautiful. I love the colour palette that you are using...perfect for spring
everlasting tulips .... lovely colors sew soft.
the tulips are up at our post office too.
A very fun textile treatment with paintstiks! Cool!
things are looking good Holly!!
It is nice to have a couple of machines....I keep my Baby Lock set up for FMQ most of the time....and piece with the Singer....as a rule...but that changes once in awhile...lol
Your tulips are just beautiful! Enjoy your week! Hopping over from TNATN.
I can't get over how beautiful that fabric is, and make the tulips come to life.
love how the tulipsare coming along - the addition of the shiva paintstick works wonderfully! hope you have a fun, busy day!
Your tulips are wonderful and I am curious what block you started.....
Can you set up your machines on small rolling tables and just switch them out? I have several of mine on small computer tables with wheels and just put the one I need besides a table. Works a treat, especially as I don't have to lift those heavy machines anymore.
Your tulips are really pretty. I've never used those paint sticks. Looks like fun!
I am totally enjoying the process of creating those tulips!
