UFO quilting and snowshoeing

I haven't been home much this weekend. Yesterday was guild UFO which I always enjoy. I resolved to get there a little earlier than my 10 O'clock as I'm working on a project that I am going to save for all my UFO days. we have two per month.  I can't show my project but I can show a few other ones that caught my eye. This first one got my interest from all the way across the room. I love bright colors. It was made by Kelly Huard and  she was just finishing the borders.

Another lady (I forget who she was) was actually doing these cute place mats as a Christmas present for next year. Can you imagine being that organized?

And this last piece being hand quilted by Alice consists of antique hand embroidered blocks representing all the months of the year.

I got this little fellow at my breakfast time yesterday. Perhaps he'll appear in a little piece someday. I just can't work fast enough!

Today, we went out for breakfast which we do occasionally, and then we came home and went snow shoeing. After that we visited the in laws so I haven't had any studio time this weekend. Exercise and the outdoors has to be a priority, especially on the weekends when we can go together. We took lots of photos that I can use for reference in my work. I'm always looking for little things I want to photograph but with the new camera even my husband is noticing things.

Loved your photos, Holly -- keep it up! And I'm envious of your beautiful snow walk. I'm missing ours...

Thank you for your nice comment on the quilt I am working on. I do tend to work fast; because I have orders tp get out...and I enjoy it so much. We went walking in the woods today; lovely outside; not enough snow for snowshoes though....I enjoy snowshoeing....yes; get that quilt to UFO day....lol.
