Workshop:
Monoprinting With Gelatin Mold
In this one day workshop we will use a pre-made
gelatin mold (recipe will be supplied) as our printing surface, cotton fabric and paints to make mono prints. There is a mold
on the market called a Gelli. If you love the process as much as I do, you will
want to buy one.
There are many things that can be used to make
interesting textures. I have a collection of pressed leaves and flowers that I
keep in old phone books. You can use anything you can imagination, such as
bubble wrap, lace, empty spools, grids from berry containers, craft foam, etc.
I like to incorporate the prints into small bags, mug
rugs, or kits that I can use as gifts. My sewing kits are featured in Quilting
Arts, Oct/Nov, 2016.
