Fantasy garden

Wow, we're having another spectacular day here today, the kind that makes you need to get outside! I hung the wash out at least this morning before sewing my little art quilt together. I changed and added a few things after yesterday.

I'm pretty happy with it now.
Then, before going out for a nice walk on the trail this afternoon, I got it sandwiched.

In some of the plain strips I plan to do some quilted flower shapes and then add paint or Paintsticks to the them.
The moon in the top left and the screened pink flowers in the top right of the first picture will be stitched and highlighted as well.
There will be some hand work and maybe even some beads before I'm done. The fun is just beginning.
Tonight, I'm going to a guild sewing night, making blocks for Victoria quilts and tomorrow I will be out most of the day. This piece waiting for me will give me something to look forward to and think about for Thursday.

It is developing into a lovely piece reminiscent of summer. The bright rosy shades add just the right amount of brightness. A fun base for all your handwork!
