A border of 4 patches

I'm just writing a short post to show what I've been up to. Since today is my day for swimming and tutoring, I won't get anything else done.
Yesterday, I spent the day at my friend's cottage retreat sewing together 4 patches for the next border on my postage stamp star quilt. While most stayed for the night, I came home so I could get in my regular swim this morning and tutor my new student this afternoon. I will run down and have lunch with them though. That's one good thing about living in such a small place. Everything is only a few minutes away.
Here is the quilt with one 4 patch border. 3 more to go. Then, another 2 1/2" black border and a final border of fabric with flying geese.

I will have to do some cutting in the next couple of weeks to get enough 2 1/2" blocks ready for the 4 patch blocks as I'd like to finish it at our guild retreat.
So my apologies to those who follow for the art quilting. I'll be mixing in some regular quilting in the next little while as I try to finish this quilt and do some Christmas projects.
I'm linking to the Needle and a Thread Network.

I have been working on a postage stamp quilt, a bit at a time, between other projects since early summer! Those tiny patches can get so addicting! My favourite part about these is the total randomness of the tiny squares...

No need to apologize on my behalf! I love scrappy, colourful quilts! And yours is gorgeous. The black sashing really makes those stars shine! Great job, Holly!
