out again

I'm writing this quickly as I have a dentist's appointment, errands and then groceries to do. I had a couple of comments yesterday about the borders on my cosmos piece. I decided to keep the piece simple only adding the final 4th border. I got it sandwiched and started quilting it.

I got quite a bit done, but still had to stop when my shoulder got sore. I  received the insert for my cabinet that I ordered which will lower my machine, and thus reduce the strain, but my husband has been too busy with work and snow clearing to get to it. I only took  close up photos yesterday, so I'll  have to wait until next post to show the whole thing. I'm rather pleased with it.

Yesterday, during the storm we had these little goldfinches at the feeder and the starlings were at the suet.
I know in some places the starlings can be a bit of a pest, but I find their speckled coloring so pretty.

Yes....that's what I meant...lol I like borders, but I think you want people to see the piece more than the framing...though that adds to it also..will be lovely.

Your piece is looking good.

I don't mind the starlings either as they don't come in huge flocks and are pretty close up. I guess we have to like dots to like them.
