A bird bath

I got a rainy day to spend inside but it is still so uncomfortable, it's hard to do anything. My husband is on vacation for these two weeks, so we're doing a few things together.
When it cleared a bit, we went out to arrange the bird bath that I made from second hand store glass.

It isn't full of water yet because I set little stones over the holes with the caulking and one is leaking a bit. When it's dry out we'll add more caulking to the hole. The glass bowl is an old light fixture. I'm quite taken with them and may do another if I find the pieces.

Last night I did a quick little watercolor of a few stones and shells from the beach.
Now I'm going to do a little bit of stitching. So much to do, so little time!

I love the birdbath and would love to see it closer up! You are really quite wonderful with the watercolors. I'm always envious of that because I don't think watercolors are easy. I've tried and tried and just can NOT do it! :)

The birdbath is very cool . What a neat idea. I di like the wee watercolour too. Wish I had twice as many hours in the day. I used to do a LOT of watercolour and loved it maybe later.

Love that birdbath, Holly! I have a fixture that I can't bear to part with, but doesn't really work with our decor. You've given me a great idea for repurposing it. Thanks! I love your watercolour too - so talented!
