Doodling and art making while it snows

Well, I sure hope this is winter's last gasp! We are getting about 15cm's of snow! I got up this morning with the intentions to do do a bit of doodling so I could send my final screen designs off to Margaret Applin. I started over breakfast with my tea.

I got so absorbed that then I had to make a few foam stamps. And I couldn't stop there. I had to see how they would look on fabric so I hauled out my fabric paint and the Gelli.

I did 4 prints because I had to stop for lunch by then. So I cleaned up, ate lunch and then started stitching. Still a bit more to do but a good place to stop for today.
I think the extra cortisone I've had to take for my cold has given me a little zip. Wish I was like this all the time but one has to go with the flow.

I can hardly wait to see your screens. The stamps are great on the prints. No snow here but the thermometer is plunging!

Those foam stamps look like such fun. Still winter here, too, with our ice storm Thursday, and snow yesterday, but winter is relenting slightly. I can see the daffodils by the side of the house giving it a shot.

Hi Holly,
I am going to be the guest artist on "And then we set it on Fire" (http://andthenwesetitonfire.blogspot.com/) blog this coming June and I wanted to focus on the gelli plate. As I was doing my research I came across your blog and this post. I was impressed! I wondered if you would like to take one week in June to share some of your experience and printed fabrics using the gelli plate? Please send me an email to quiltordye@ftml.net if you are interested.

These are beautiful. I have not tried the gelli prints yet but I am hoping to soon. Need to even find a list of supplies to get...thanks for sharing.
