Why buy a card when you can whip one up from scraps and such! And it's such fun! It's just a quick card I needed for a friend.
The 'peace' postcard is one that I'm donating to the local art society to raise money for the Red Cross in Haiti. They are having a sale of donated art work at the Zeller's Mall in Bathurst on Sat, Feb 6th.

I'm still working on the postcard that I want to use in an exchange so I can't show it, but I just can't contain myself, so I'm showing a peek of one corner. It's made from paper fabric which consists of a muslin layer topped with torn strips of tissue paper glued it, and then painted. It can be free motion stitched and appliqued once it dries.
